Joe Sakic "Superstar" Quebec Nordiques NHL Action Poster - Starline Inc. 1993

As a #1 overall draft pick (1988) and a perennial 90+ point scorer, even Joe Sakic could not save the Quebec Nordiques from being the league's doormat. Somehow, the franchise was able to hold onto their superstar center, and when the team moved to Colorado for the 1995-96 season, Sakic made the trip. When talent like Claude Lemieux, Peter Forsberg, and Patrick Roy were added to the roster, Sakic was finally able to taste success, and the Stanley Cup was his.

This poster was produced during the 1992-93 season, when things were still bleak for the Nordiques. However, the poster is anything but bleak. It features a very interesting photograph - rare for Starline - that creates an interesting visual flow. You can really sense the movement and speed of then 24-year-old Sakic's skating towards the end boards. A rare piece you won't find anywhere else!
